01 · Systems
Hydronic options for indoor comfort and exterior safety.
01Boilers & combi units
Heat-source replacement or new installation coordinated with load, venting, fuel, piping and service requirements.
02Radiant-floor heating
Underfloor or slab distribution organized into balanced zones with accessible manifolds and appropriate controls.
03Hydronic baseboard
Fin-tube or panel-radiator work planned around output, supply temperature, room load and existing loop conditions.
04Snowmelt systems
Driveway and sidewalk tubing, manifolds and dedicated equipment coordinated with slab design and freeze protection.
02 · Planning
Confirm what the system must deliver.
- Project heat-load information
- Emitter output and water temperature
- Zone layout and control sequence
- Pump, expansion and air elimination
- Glycol and freeze-protection needs
- Venting, combustion air and fuel
When engineering, electrical controls, structural work or concrete placement belongs to another trade, those responsibilities are identified in the proposal and coordination process.
03 · Startup
Fill, purge, verify and hand off the system.
Hydronic work may include pressure testing, flushing, purging, fluid preparation, equipment startup, zone verification and adjustment of accessible system components. Exact commissioning responsibilities follow the project documents and equipment requirements.
Can a boiler be replaced without reviewing the rest of the system?
A direct replacement may be possible, but the existing distribution, venting, fuel, pumps, expansion control and heat demand should be reviewed before selecting equipment.
Does every snowmelt project use the same glycol mixture?
No. Fluid selection and concentration depend on design conditions, equipment requirements and the project's freeze-protection strategy.
Can new panel radiators connect to existing baseboard piping?
Sometimes, but output, water temperature, flow, zoning and the existing loop arrangement must be checked before combining emitter types.
